I am a 67 year old retired professional with early signs of senile dementia. Victor, of BikeSAFE, in Hillarys has seen me through to getting my RE licence. It took me three attempts and 10 lessons but I do not blame him for this tardiness. Vic is South African, but that cannot be held against him. He is direct, open, honest and, definitely, professional. His bikes are as reliable as is he and, not unreasonably,he gets slightly cranky if you damage his bikes. He is savvy. When I bombed on my first evaluation he offered friendship on the basis of co-hosting (expense-wise) his Sunday morning 'Fish and Chip at Freo Bike Ride'. This was a necessary boost to flagging morale. He gets top marks for psychology from me for this stratagem. Though Vic is the only instructor I have had I, nevertheless, wholeheartedly, recommend him for a (bike)safe choice, as an instructor, for anyone within convenient reach of his Hillary business.
